Sessional PDTR

With the ratification of our new CA, all sessional instructors at every step level are now eligible to be reimbursed for up to $500 of the expenses related to teaching at UPEI, per semester that they are on contract. To do so, sessional members must submit their PDTR form with receipts no later than the last day of classes in the semester for which they are submitting the request.

Research-Related Course Release

Per article H1.5.3 of the new Collective Agreement, faculty members who hold certain types of research grants are eligible for course release. However, if a faculty member has sufficient unused graduate supervision credits for a course release as per Article H1.4.2(d)(v), these must be used first. It is important to note that, while the timing of redemption of supervision credits may be determined by the Chair or Dean, the grant-based release in Article H1.5.3 is guaranteed. If you believe that you are eligible for course release under H1.5.3, and you have trouble accessing it because the timing of your supervision-based course release, please contact the FA for assistance.
